The 2 sides of the ring along the band are broad and etched with the city of Jerusalem relief. The Hoshen stone design pays homage to the Priestly breastplate worn by the High Priest in the ancient Holy Temple times. The 12 Hoshen differently colored stones represent the 12 tribes of Israel.
