This exquisite Silver Hoshen Tallit Clip is a very unique and special piece of jewelry. The clip is made of sterling silver in the shape of a square. In the center, on a black background, are twelve semi-precious colorful stones, set in neat, organized rows. On top is written Avnei Choshen (stones of the hoshen) in Hebrew letters.

The Choshen is the breastplate that was worn by the Kohen Gadol, the high priest, during the times of the Holy Temple. There are twelve stones on it, representing the twelve tribes of Israel. Each stone is supposed to share some characteristic of the tribe it represents.
